Another Self-Portrait: Bob Dylan’s rare recordings to be released


On August 26, an album consisting of rare and unheard recordings by Bob Dylan will be released. The Bootleg Series, Vol. 10 – Another Self Portrait (1969-1971), features 35 songs which were recorded during the 1970 studio recording sessions, which resulted in Dylan’s albums Self Portrait and New Morning. While officially to be released as a double-disk set, a deluxe version will also be released, featuring an extra disk with Dylan’s recordings from the Isle of Wight festival, 1969. One of the much anticipated releases will be ‘Pretty Saro’, which was recorded six consecutive times during the Self Portrait recordings, but did not make the final cut.
