Actor James Gandolfini, aka, mob boss Tony Soprano from the hit HBO series The Sopranos, has died today at age 51. While vacationing in Rome, the actor was said to have suffered from either a heart attack or stroke. Gandolfini portrayed the mob boss of the New Jersey crime syndicate from 1999-2007, ending with the famed episode Made in America. The role won Gandolfini numerous awards for his portrayal of a troubled existential gangster. The Sopranos was recently voted best-written television show of all time by the Writers Guild of America.
