History as Fiction/Fiction as History: My article at Popmatters

In November of last year, my article on historical fiction was published at Popmatters, the international pop-culture blog, in the Re:Print section. In it I discuss, rather briefly, the allure of the historical novel in various formats and works, including that of Anthony Burgess, George McDonald Fraser, and Tom Stoppard.
